HAUL: $30 at Village Thrift
Apparently, I've been to Village Thrift at least once each week for the last 10 weeks. I guess my Foursquare Village Thrift mayorship is well deserved! Today was discount day, with three tag colors 50% off and 2 tag colors 33% off. I think I wound up buying more 33% off items than 50% items, but they were all still good deals. Two of the items I got today were brand new, with the original tags still on them, including a pair of pajama pants that I had considered getting my husband for Christmas, but decided against due to their cost. They were a fraction of the original cost at the thrift store!
The Goods
I snagged a total of 6 items for $30.07, which averages out to $5.01 per item.

The Details
I wasn't looking for anything specific this week, but I have been trying to be more careful about making sure the items I get will fit and work for me. I was very successful in that regard today. I get the shakes if I haven’t been into Thrift Town for a few days. I pass by every now and then and caonnt resist coming in to see what’s new! I have been watching What Not To Wear on TV and started shopping the better clothes. Not being able to spend lots of money on my new look, I knew I’d find something really nice at Thrift Town .and guess what I found three suede jackets (not all at the same time, though!), brown, teal, and beige all beautiful and in EXCELLENT condition. Then I found a frilly blouse that looks tremendous with the teal jacket (all of them!!!). A while back I found some black slacks (at T.T.) that work with this outfit soooo well!!!The only thing I did buy from a retail store were some on sale boots for less than $20. So I now have, at least, a $150 outfit!I will be sending a picture of this outfit in as soon as I get someone to take a picture for me.Brenda Phillips
